Position Overview

TOMRA Recycling is a pioneer and the market leader in sensor-based sorting machines. With our deep application knowledge, powerful machine learning software and a variety of in-house developed sensors we offer our customers state-of-the-art, high-performance sorting solutions for maximum purity and yield.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary group of 8 motivated and skilled developers, who cover a diversity of backgrounds and topics like optics, analog electronics, embedded systems, software engineering, mechanical engineering, 3D printing, and image processing.

Our team has a friendly, humorous and inspiring way of interacting, collaborates closely and is passionate about technology and innovation.

Your Tasks

  • Assembly of mechanical prototypes, calibration setups, and experiments
  • CAD engineering of mechanical components
  • Manufacturing of mechanical components using CNC milling, turning, grinding, sandblasting etc.
  • Test of sensor components’ function, precision, and stability

Your Profile

  • Student in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar
  • Good mechanical skills, training as a cutting machine operator, industrial mechanic or similar is preferred
  • Knowledge in SolidWorks CAD/CAM or Fusion 360 is a plus
  • Experience in CNC milling is a plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
